Hellas, Son of Erik is a male Adelie Penguin and the former servant to Rodan Gizzardcrusher. Hellas once had a mate named Vallarama and an unnamed chick, both of whom were taken, and later killed, by Rodan after Hellas was captured by Mumble and his friends. Seeking revenge for his family and seeing the error of his ways, Hellas and his first mate Aleksei helped to defeat Rodan and his forces. Mumble saw their bravery and selflessness against Rodan and welcomed them to Emperor Land, where Hellas and Aleksei currently reside. Hellas plays a supporting part in Happy Feet: Protectors of Emperor Land and is voiced by Michael Fassbender.

- Hellas voice is described as being a mix of both German and Irish accents. This is, rather obviously, a reference to his actor, Michael Fassbender, who is of both Irish and German heritage.
- In Chapter six of 0.75, Mumble calls Hellas "Michael Collins" after the Irish Revolutionary of the same name. According to Fassbender's "family lore" his mother is Collin's great grand-niece.
- Both of Hellas' "masters" have given him visible injuries.
- Rodan, after Hellas returned without skuas for his army, gave Hellas a pitchfork-shaped scar as punishment
- Elil gives Hellas a three clawed "identification mark" on his left flipper. However, unlike his pitchfork scar, this mark is shown to have disappeared by the time he returns to Emperor Land.
- It is unknown how exactly Hellas recieved his pitchfork scar. It can be assumed that Rodan carved the scar onto his chest, as he had done with Aleksei. However, in an upcoming episode of Protectors of Emperor Land, Hellas mentions that the weather felt "hotter than when I(he) got me(his) scar", hinting that it might have been branded onto him.
- Though they have not(yet) shown any signs of strong friendship, it is implied that Mumble has a great respect for Hellas, as he names his son Erik after Hellas' father.
