- In "Very Important Creature", clips from Happy Feet Two are reused following Sven's backstory on what Sven remembers.
- This is Shoutys first appearance in a Happy Feet fanfiction and his first appearance in Happy Peep.
- "Penguin in the Middle" is a parody of the popular kids' game "Monkey in the Middle".
- This is the second episode that someone birthday has happen. The first was in "Adélie Feeding Battle" when Carlos celebrate his birthday on the Adélie Feeding Battle.
- This is the first episode when Montay run away from home.
- The Tyrannosaurus skeleton that Will and Bill saw could possibly be one of the members of the Tyrannosaurus Pack that appear in "Tickle Torment Future 2: Stuck in Prehistory".
- In a flashback during the events of Happy Feet and The Story of The Five Amigos, the skuas blocked the cave entrance with ice cubes when the three leopard seals attack Mumble, The Amigos and Lovelace. It was revealed that Lovelace went to the other side to escape from the three seals and went to the Forbidden Shore by himself.
- The Killer Whales from the original Happy Feet movie return as the tertiary antagonists.
- The Dark 'Guin in this story is an emperor penguin.
- The episode was originally titled as "The Birthday and the Searching Adventure" since 2013 as a fan-fiction story. Later back in 2014, the story was renamed to "Mumble's Birthday Bash" and turned out to be a Happy Peep episode.
- But since many months, the story was not yet created so Bach's Story was the only one to take over since it was delayed to November 2014.
